Office 2016 public preview available
See How to download and install the Microsoft Office 2016 public preview for details on how to get the release.
NOTE: you can NOT run the preview side-by-side with older Office versions. It replaces your current version.

The download mentioned is only an installer of 3.7MB, can't save on one computer then install on another, requires an active Internet connection during the install.

I pretty sure it is a click-to-run install. The preview is configured to install updates automatically. To check the preview update settings you'll need to go to File | Account. That is the real clue it is click-to-run. So, each PC will have to download the software to install the preview.

FYI, you can run it alongside previous versions of Office, but not previous versions installed via CTR.

Will this new office also be free for those having non-original copy of office just like win10?

If you have an Office 365 subscription then YES otherwise I doubt it. However, you need to track what Microsoft says about Office being pre-installed on new PCs and which Office SKU is mentioned.

Office is not free. And, please, what do you mean by, "non-original copy of office just like win10"?
