    I think it's working Rick!
What do you mean nothing is impossible? I've been doing nothing for years.

    Yep... and attachments.

    test.zip

And I'm no longer getting the distorted 'attachments' dialog:
    distorted attachments.jpg

It would be good if others could test this... 'cos the distorted 'attachments' dialog was an issue for loads of people.

Rick - yes, it's working, I can view the images, but only when logged in to WSL - (which is as it should be?)

I encountered this when trying to include an image in a post last week. I tried both PNG and JPG, neither of which worked. Drag-and-drop didn't work either.

Thanks for fixing this, and reporting back on it.

@JohnFleming - Thanks for the feedback. Yes, you need to logged in to see images. ('Twasn't me who fixed it... it was a backend Super Admin. )

@mngerhold - Thanks for the feedback. The missing toolbar in the editor has been reported (together with before and after screenshots).

Hmm, 'Reply with Quote' spins wheel without going anywhere.

Manage Attachment seems to work fine for me.

Spoke too soon, see posts 6-7 in this thread.

I can't say for sure that the format nuke was caused by adding the attachment, but it coincided. However, removing the attachment didn't make formatting work—talking only about paragraph marks / line breaks.

This has been reported but (I've just tried it and it) appears to still be unresolved.

Yes, that seems to work, i.e. clicking on the link to the .docx file pops up the download prompt. The weird thing now (for me, at least) is that the published posts retain their formatting (i.e. paragraph breaks) but when I edit a post, the text in the editor has lost the same paragraph breaks.

Looks like the uploaded files are getting 'lost' on the server, Rick. Previously uploaded files can still be attached:

Unfortunately, most of the previously uploaded images I need to recreate the threads lost in the GHD™ (Great Hardware Debacle) were also lost... so I'll have to wait for 'Insert Images' to be fixed (again) and hope it doesn't break (again).
