Clean PS2 mouse wheel
Hi - the mouse wheel is very sticky. Tried Isopropyl alcohol. Didn't work. Any suggestions? Don't want to take it apart.
Thanks.

I just use good old soap and water, using an almost-dry cloth. I do dismantle it though, together with the keyboard, maybe once a year or so. You'd be surprised what comes out...

Veteran, get a mousepad if you don't have one. It'll minimize the amount of gunk which otherwise gets on the ball, and improve the smoothness of the mouse movement—provides the extra friction mechanical mice need, which desk/table surface alone often won't provide.
