Recovering deleted photos on Android phone

I have "lost" some photos of great sentimental value on my Samsung Galaxy 5 neo phone - must have somehow accidentally deleted them - is there a way of possibly restoring them as there would be on a Windows computer? These are photos taken on the phone.

Try searching for an undelete utility in the store. You'll have better luck if you don't use the device much before running the utility.

Thank you very very much - I have restored the two pictures I valued - of my wife a few weeks before she died.

Maybe use google drive to backup photos once in a while. I think you still get a couple of gigs of free storage.

Just because you don't know where you are going doesn't mean any road will get you there.

Google Drive (now backup and sync) gives you 15Gb. Google photos gives you unlimited, though will reduce bigger photos to 16megapixels. Over that size will use your 15Gb limit. See the wiki page for more info.
What do you mean nothing is impossible? I've been doing nothing for years.

Which utility did you use? I want to have on hand for my two Samsung Galaxy tablets.
