Mail and Calendar apps won't open after auto update
My Mail and Calendar apps won't open since there automatic update a few days ago. I've tried everything I can think of including a hard reset to no avail. Anybody have any ideas? This makes my phone nothing but a fancy brick that sends messages. The outlook website still works with my surface and the win 10 apps on the surface work fine.

Which version of the OS are you running?
If you do not have the apps auto update , have you updated to the most current version of Mail/Calendar?Joe

I'm running Win 10 mobile version 1607 OS build 10.0.14393.2551 on a Lumia 735. The apps were on auto update and worked fine until the last update. It seems like the software works flawlessly for about 9 months or so and then stops for a variety of reasons that are never the same. This is a first for them not wanting to open at all.

Well it appears to have solved itself after a week without any intervention from me. They now work again. I have also moved on to a couple of apps from the store that use the outlook data and sync to the cloud. I like my windows phone and will move to android when it dies but I detest the fact that I have to pay hundreds of dollars for a phone, email and calendar device. I rarely use it for anything else.
